Taking a little break from wedding posts, I thought I would share some photos from my Outer Banks, North Carolina vacation. These photos are from my 2015 trip. You know, usually when I take a vacation, I don't bring my camera. It may seem a little backwards, but sometimes I just need a break. I need to take time to live in the moment and enjoy it. Buttttt, this time I brought my camera. Honestly, I'm glad I did! For those of you that have never been to the Outer Banks, I highly recommend it. The beaches are very clean and not over-populated. There are so many family-friendly things to do, and so much nature to explore.
My friend Becca and I went on a lot of adventures while we were there. We took a wild horse tour at sunset. There are tons of different tour companies and the one we went with was Bob's Wild Horse Tours. It was so worth it! There were a ton of horses out and it was sunset, so the scenery was breath-taking. We also checked out three lighthouses: Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Bodie Island Light Station, and The Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. We spent an afternoon at the Roanoke Island Aquarium. One of my favorite days was the morning dolphin tour. We went with Paradise Cruises OBX. It was not only freaking awesome to see dolphins, but the tour guides taught us a lot about them. All in all, it is a vacation worth taking. It's a great spot for families. There are only a handful of bars, which helps to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere.
